Looking for a new keyboard
« on: Thu, 22 December 2011, 19:55:43 »
I know a lot of these threads pop-up but I've already done a lot of research and bought a Das with browns for starcraft.

Don't get me wrong its a quality board, but it's just not for me. Maybe it's that I've been playing on a laptop with flat scissor-switch keys my entire life but the Das just feels kind of clumsy to me. I'm having a bit of trouble double tapping my control groups, I like to bottom out with every press and my Das feels like it takes too long for the keys to rebound.

So I'm in the market again for a new keyboard. I'm basically just looking for a solid one with "snappy" keys that allow really fast double tapping when bottoming out.

I'm thinking maybe a flat keyboard like the Razer lycosa (though it does look kind of cheap) is what I'm looking for but I'd like to hear any first-hand recommendations you guys may have.

thanks

Try installing O-Rings. They reduce the keytravel by quite a bit and make apm-spamming much easier.
There is a thread about finding the "best" scissor switch keyboard -> http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?9808-quot-Best-quot-scissor-switch-flat-keyboard&highlight=scissor
don't _under no circumstances_ get the lycosa!
