Nah, it was a microsoft media 2000 wired. It's just that now I'm working on not bottoming out, I don't actually press that hard when I type so it's not too hard. The only keys that are tricky are the shift keys since I use my pinkies for them. Is there a good technique to practice, I'm already a pretty good touch typer - should I just go for broke and try to type as fast I can or purposely try to hit the keys soft?

I just hit the keys at a good pace with Browns. Because they are easy to press, I don't go too fast.  That's just me, though.

stick o-rings on them :D  or don't shove ur hand through ur keyboard.  that helps.  imo its fine to bottom out it might be bad for your fingers though.

Migrated users from rubber domes tend to smash the keyboard and to punch the keys. Here we are just surfing the keyboard and stroking the keys.

When typing with just enough force (soft), you will type faster in the long run and effortlessly.

Hah, I guess i'm one of the only ones who actually enjoy bottoming out on my mechanical board?  Not very hard, or anything, but the resounding CLACK is so satisfying.  Also; congrats on the new board USAgent!

I bought the brown ninja last month for use at work.  Love it.  I also tried a K90 at home and returned it for a number of reasons.  If you game a lot, I think the red switches are better than browns (much lighter and no tactile bump).  Just ordered me a Filco with red switches from PCHOME in China.  Hope it works out OK.  KBC may have some Filco Reds in stock this Easter.  I tried 40 durometer o-rings on the brown, but prefer the stock feel.  Enjoy your new toy.
