Focus FK-5001: 130-key white clicky plate-mounted Alps (not sure if complicated/simplified, believed to be complicated) keyboard with integrated, PC-independent numpad calculator. AT/XT switchable (DIP switches under logo plate, with switch settings molded into the plastic on the bottom), 5 pin DIN connector.

The keys are all double-shot. On this board, they are all rather dirty, and the numpad Enter key is of a different profile (fits and works, but doesn't match the + key)

This is one of two of this model that I have and am selling. The parallel listing for the other one, which does work, can be found here:
http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?18607-Focus-FK-5001-(white-clicky-Alps-AT-XT-DIN-and-switchable)-the-working-one

This is the one that does not work - the nature of the malfunction is hard to pin down. Basically, it doesn't output to the computer, but there are some keys that trigger LED behaviour. I suspect it might be stuck in an unknown programming or manufacturer testing mode...I don't know how it got into this mode, it used to work and just started misbehaving one day.

Unlike the 'good' board, the switches in this one do not have issues - they fired correctly when the board last worked. Troubleshooting and fixing the problems are beyond what I want to do so hopefully someone else can get use out of it, even if only as a parts donor. The case has damage, documented in the photos. Just beware that you won't be able to use it out of the box due to the current problems it has.

(the guts of this and the other one have been transplanted due to the nature of the malfunction in the other keyboard - that is, the PCB, backplate and switches in this keyboard were originally in the other one's shell. Because of the damage to this shell, and the filthy keys, it seemed more appropriate to put the nonworking guts into this one)

The calculator LCD works, but is not in the best condition. The LEDs were replaced with red ones at some point while the guts still worked...the board ceasing to work did not coincide with the LED exchange. If you'd like me to try to find the original green ones, I may still have them...I will not swap them in, but can include them if found.

My asking price for this keyboard is 20 CAD plus actual shipping costs, to be determined.
Will ship worldwide via Canada Post.
I am not considering trades currently; what I need is money and space. For the two boards together, 40 CAD plus actual shipping costs.

I can accept PayPal, cheques/money orders and cash, but note that your payment must successfully clear out into cash form physically in my possession (e.g. PayPal to bank account, bank account to cash, or cheque to cash successfully without bouncing, or mailed cash arriving successfully)

Would you consider selling just the caps ?
