Finally Pulled the Trigger and Bought My Own

Just pulled the trigger on a Rosewill RK-9000RE from Newegg should be here next week. Got it for $80 with a promotion code, and I can't wait to get it.

I think you will like it - I have it with the Browns and really love it.  I have heard the gripes about the cable connections, but mine doesn't move a whole lot so that is not a concern.

My only gripe is the capslock is not stepped - so run over to hashbaz's moogle GB and pick up a few before it closes! (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?28923-CLOSING-SOON-R3-Moogle-Kits)

Mine is never going to move really so I didn't think that the connector would be much of a problem. Did you have the squeaking that I have heard tell of happen to yours? Also I was thinking of just picking up some PBTs from Qtan so I am not really worried about the Capslock too much.

Squeaking?  I have not seen any complaints (or experienced) that...do you have a link?  The only moving parts are the switches and they are pretty much the same on all MX boards.  I'm slowly converting all keys to SP profile since they do not match up well with the stock keys.  I do have a few WSAD keys and they fit perfectly with the stock keys.  I would imagine Qtans would too.  I just love all the SP novelty keys more than the feel of PBT at the moment.

Yeah there have been some complaints in the past about the space bar stabilizer squeaking. I suppose it was over exaggerated and probably isn't that big of a problem.

Even if it has that problem it is nothing a little White Lithium won't fix.

I have no problem with mine.  I have two of them. After greasing the stabilizers they feel like tanks.  I have had no issues except one of the boards key caps legends browned very quickly. The other is fantastic.

Another Rosewill user :tea:

My backspace is also squeak loudly at the beginning but it's gone after some use (after 1-2 week)
And yes the keycap legend gets dirty rather quickly, but heck you"ll change/mod your keycap in the end anyway

Here's mine for now
