Can I remove the long metal thing from a Costar space stabilizer? (For lubing purpose

I couldn't find this specific question addressed in other threads, so here goes.

I got some of that lithium grease stuff and thought of applying some to my Majestouch 2 space bar. It might be unnecessary, but I was wondering whether it's feasible to take out the metal stabilizer bar, so that grease could be applied to its holders properly (since that's where most of the friction comes from, I should think)? It kind of looks like it can be snapped out, but I certainly don't want to damage the thing.

Thanks, but that doesn't answer my question. I'm interested in temporarily removing the metal bar from the stabilizer mechanism itself, not asking for tips on removing the key or lubing in general.

You can easily pluck out the metal wire if you want. Just that be careful not to break anything, especially the mounting plastic.

Turns out I dare not remove it, seeing as how it seems require quite the bit of force, and the holders don't seem very durable. Let's just hope some of the lithium grease gets there with time.
