Cherry MX 3000 M - Keycaps
« on: Sun, 29 April 2012, 05:14:32 »
i found this keyboard on ebay "Cherry MX 3000 M - G80-3000LSMDE-0/01". Does it have double shot keycaps? i think about bidding on this keyboard to get them cheap.
http://www.ebay.de/itm/5-Stuck-Cherry-Tastaturen-G80-G81-G83-USB-PS-2-mechanisch-/251046827022
And are the G81 and G83 mechanical as well? any tips?^^

G80-3000LSMDE-0/01 <- has lasered keycaps

the G81 and G83 are non-mechanical, but you can use the keycaps of a G81 on a mechanical keyboard

are you from germany? I got two cherry boards with doubleshots laying around... G80-1501HAD. Maybe I'm gonna put them here in classifieds or on ebay

you have to look for an "H" in the cherry partnumber. Like here: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Cherry-G80-2551HAD-MX-Black-Tastatur-Keyboard-NEU-Doubleshots-Poker-Noppoo-/300703270612?pt=M%C3%A4use_Tastaturen&hash=item46034fc6d4

Then you can be sure that the keycaps are doubleshots

I would say it's worth bidding on that lot for the G80 still, it's a nice enough board and low price yet. I have a DE set of doubleshots for sale, though you can probably get them cheaper locally since they are much more common there.
