Basically, my friend left me his computer while he goes across the country for a few months. The keyboard he left is a thermaltake meka g1. I absolutely love this keyboard, it feels great especially since I'm not accustomed to gaming keyboards.

Anyway, it worked perfectly fine when he gave it to me, which makes sense cause its less than 2 months old. However, now the backspace key is giving me problems. It usually wont detect when i press it unless i press on the top right corner of the key, which is absolutely intolerable when trying to type at any speed. I'm trying to remember if there was an incident where I could have broken it but nothing comes to mind, I've been extremely careful with all of his stuff.

Except for about an hour's worth of research I have no experience with keyboard problems so I was wondering if this is a common problem or if anyone knows what I could do. For such a minor problem I'd really like not to have to replace it but I definately dont want to give it back in anything less than the condition I received it in.

I'd greatly appreciate any input

Given it is still probably in warranty I wouldn't try anything more than removing the keycap and seeing if there's some hair or something in the switch. You could try some compressed air on the switch.
