Just curious - which grip do you like better? I like the hard plastic one in comparison to the rubbery one.

Yep. I thought the same too but it doesn't.

For web browsing, I like the Wide Load grip. For shooting games, I prefer the Precision grip but both hit my palm too much so I switched to a CM Spawn. I keep the Wide Load on and use it for Chrome and RTSs....

Silver grip wears oout pretty quickly from my experience, spot where you hold your thumb changes color to black.
No issues with smaller grip though, and yes, it has no mouse feet on it.

The smaller grip doesn't need a pad because the pads on the mouse itself are the only thing touching bottom.
There's one on one side of the larger grip just to give it a third contact point for that larger surface area.

Now worries, you can easily buy another NEW Silver Casing off Ebay.  I did.

Is this it? Is it a rough surface or smooth? I prefer the rough plastic feel, it provides for good grip.

Try to find the custom extra big grip. Wonderfully comfy if you have big hands.

The rough one is the best if you scuff it up with some sandpaper.  For some reason I can't get a good enough grip on the g9x.  I might be going back to my trusty mx518.  Really hard to beat.

I have that mouse and the custom (still Logitech anyway) extra big grip. Nice stuff.

I like the wide load grip (the big softie). Mine hasnt worn down after 3000+ hours of use. But if you have acidic sweat or don't wash your hands, i could see it happening.

I also have one of the custom graphic extra large grips, but it makes the mouse too heavy IMO.

Skip the G9x altogether and use a Deathadder or classic 518!

Also, gripless is cool. Kinda like Kinzu on steroids, I guess.
