Filco help?
« on: Wed, 05 September 2012, 05:08:55 »
hi!

looks like the site has changed quite a bit since my last visit. IS NICE! anyhow, I'm looking to buy a filco board and figured I'd check amazon and keyboardco and was wondering if there were any difference between these two I found. One seems to cost considerably more due to black casing, but I frankly see barely any difference in the picture. Am I going blind or what's up?  :-X

the one you pointed from keyboardco is an ISO swedish, the one on Amazon is from Mister Deal and is ANSI US. Get it from keyboard co.

The first is an ANSI layout the second is ISO.

http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_details.asp?PRODUCT=996 this is the ANSI link.

Also the Amazon one you linked is being sold by: Mister Deal, Basicly keyboardCo is cheaper for the exact same product.

And you have the beige option: http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_details.asp?PRODUCT=997

Just make sure you get the layout you are used to.

Most UK people prefer the UK ISO layout but if you intend on getting replacement keycaps it would be easier to switch to ANSI.

:) enjoy keyboardco is great heh. (even if filco is a little overpriced on the UK side of the pond)
