My 1989 Model M cleaned up nicely...
« on: Thu, 06 September 2012, 09:03:19 »
 ;D

It's actually a teeny bit whiter than my blue label unit. I also dig the green legends in the Alt keys and the gray numpad legends for cursor/document controls. Loving it--it's now officially my home keyboard.

According to clickykeyboards, the numpad legends come in black, light and dark gray, and light and dark brown, as well as blue (rare).

Personally, after having owned all of them, I think, my preference is the light brown.
Citizens United violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president.
So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.”

Hmm. Looking at the keys right now (I'm typing on it) and the numpad legends look more like light brown than pure gray...They're basically the same color as the darker keys. Also, the regular black legends looks a tiny less black than my '93 board.

That pic is awesome jkercado!  I love the trackman on its own (use them for years) but it really fits a tight desktop with a big keyboard.  The Model M is a battleship in many ways.

Thanks!

My house is rather small, and all bedrooms are occupied. When we were painting the master bedroom walk-in closet (which is irregularly shaped), I realized that there was a nook that would be perfect for a small home office. I built the desk shelf and an additional shelf on top, installed a fluorescent light, routed an extension cord for a multi-plug under the carpet, got me a small IKEA chair, and voilá, office space.

:D
