Razer Molten Mouse, need some help!
« on: Sun, 13 January 2013, 14:22:47 »
Does anyone know how to change the keys to be able to go forward and backward in a web browser, this seems like a simple request but for the life of me I can't figure it out!

Thanks!

Set it under mouse functions -> mouse button 4 and mouse button 5.  Forgot which is which so you might have to test it a bit.  But by default the browser will recognize them as back/forward.

If this doesn't work you can set up macros.  Alt + left arrow = back, alt + right arrow = forward.  Just remember to insert default input delay I find it doesn't work properly without delay.  Afterwards assign macro to buttons.

But try option 1 first it's much easier.

Like Hyde mentioned, having them set as default (Mouse 4 & 5) should do back and forward in your browser by default. If that's not working, and I have no idea why it wouldn't be, choose "Single key" for each entry (4 & 5), then hold Alt+left forward (back) for 4 and Alt+right arrow (forward) for 5.

Edit: Ugh you're using Synapse, which may be part of your problem. I'd uninstall that and install their original non synapse driver instead, especially being that you have the Molten - http://www.razersupport.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=downloadfile&downloaditemid=743

You see at (4) and (5) its function is listed as "Mouse Button 4" and "Mouse Button 5".  Those 2 are the default "Back" and "Forward" buttons.

Windows will recognize "Mouse Button 4" as Back and "Mouse Button 5" as Forward.

Click on "Go To Sideview" to access the 1-12 buttons, then set it to "Mouse Fuctions" then "Mouse Button 4" if you want Back.

EDIT:  Lol I'm a bit late but I see you got it working now.  :D
