My place lost power since Monday and still no power right now! Flood was pretty bad Tuesday but it's dying day by day.

Luckily my parents live like 35 minutes away so I've temporarily relocated. Hope everyone's safe!

I got power last night.  Now that the warm storm air is gone, it's getting chilly out there.  Sorry, man.

I have power in queens but no internet. My parents out on long island have been out of power since Monday afternoon.

Oh and I'd had to come to work every day this week. In the office by 9am. Boss let us out at 1pm Mon&Tues.

I gotta drive to work from queens to queens. I left my house @ 6:30am and got to work @ 8:20am...The damn traffic sucks really really bad. Some serious road rages and driving a manual car is not cool... -_-

I drove from my apartment in Fresh Meadows into Flushing, thats like 5 miles?
Took me from 8AM to 9:10AM to get to work because of the huge gridlocks in front of the gas stations

Damn, why don't you just walk or take a train?
Majority of the Subways are down, no Subway service south of 34th street and most of brooklyn.
Buses are packed, commuter rail is packed and on a 1 train 1 hr schedule.

So I get into work today and the internet is down.  Apparently there is an issue with one of our main servers (located in New Jersey) and it was affected by the hurricane.  So what does one do at work when there's no internet???

Well I'll tell ya what I did...

Tethered my phone to my computer and use its 3G for internet.  I'm the only one in the office with internet right now :D

Thank God I still have unlimited data on my phone...
