Oh, and a mod (Mr E. Kawa) should merge these threads already. Without "accidentally" or "on purposely" deleting posts with "ripster" in them.

The swear filter has had a long history here at GH and was enabled the first time back in 2007.  Personally, I feel that vulgarity is the way a weak mind expresses itself.  It was disabled from time to time at periods when I felt people *got* the fact that we are a safe-for-work, family-friendly community.  My wife reads these forums...my kids read these forums.  If someone can't properly express themselves here within the confines of the swear filter, I'd prefer they keep it to themselves.
