Looking for Pink Full Size with Brown Cherry
« on: Mon, 24 December 2012, 22:56:44 »
Hey,

I was hoping to see where I can find this type of keyboard online. I have been looking around but been having no luck. I am located in Canada, but am willing to buy overseas.

I was geared towards getting the Filco Majestouch 2 but I can't seem to find any online. Any other brands or models I should look for?

Thanks in advance.

these are brown switches  and pretty much the cheapest retail pink keyboard i can think of.

im sure there are more people that know about other solutions.

happy hunting!

Thanks for the response. I noticed them for sale at my local computer store (Canada Computers), but I never really heard of this brand before.. so I am not too sure about the quality.

The wrist bar looks a bit awkward to me. Otherwise it would be a top contender.

I agree.  Its ridiculous.  We want our keyboards to be as big as needed, not 17 square inches more.

I wanted a good pink valentine keyboard but I gave up a while back.

Good luck 2 u.

Rosewill RK-9000RE #2 (Lubed, still in the box.  I am afraid to use it because it will break like the first one)

Ducky Shine IIs have "Purple" backlit keyboards of the four main switch types including Brown, if you're looking for a pink backlight (those who own them say the Purples are more pink).

There was a limited edition pink Filco, but good luck to find one.

If you could compromise for 87 key, there is PLU-87 pink version.

If you want a filco in Canada, you can find them at ncix.com

But there is no "full size" pink Filco (as far as I know). The only pink filco is a TKL and the only one left is with black switches.

Personnaly, I think that the TKL layout is the best, but it's a personnal preference.

All in all, there is quite a lot of different configuration available, but the brown switch is by far the most popular so many models with them are not available anymore.

For your information, ncix is the only authorised Filco reseller in Canada (Amazon is the one for the US). You can go to the Diatec website the see the different worlwide reseller and the different keyboards that the make (Diatec is the company that makes the Filco).

I personnaly have a Filco camo edition TKL with browns and I absolutely love it, but I know there are some cheaper options too.

Also, for your info, ncix has a boxing day sales and has a Filco majestouch2 full size with browns switches for only 119$. It's quite a good deal. (there's also a 37$ CM quifire rapid or something like that, but TKL with blues). You can always get a pink/valentime keyset after :).
IBM F122, IBM XT F X2, IBM AT F (all Soarer converted), Filco Camo TKL Browns

Thanks everyone, I might just end up getting a Ducky with pink LEDS... She really wants a full sized keyboard since she will be using it for data entry.

you could always get a standard one and spray paint it pink? seems easier than finding a pink one. I know VHT paint cans go for around $8-10.
You could even get fancy with it and make/buy some stencils and customize it for her.
