Hello from Sacramento!
« on: Wed, 06 February 2013, 00:29:34 »
Greeting from Sacramento California!  My name is Marco and I've been lurking this forum for days and finally decided to join you guys.
Two years ago I acquired my first mechanical keyboard a Filco tenkeyless otaku with blue switches and absolutely love this thing.  Keyboard smashing and spamming for two years of straight SC2 hell, accompanying me to two different countries and this keyboard is still such a pleasure to type/play on as day one. I'm looking forward to sharing my passion with you guys and learning more about this great community!;D

Welcome to GH! You've got quite the excellent keyboard there.

I actually plan on moving to Sacramento some time in the summer. I'll be going to CSU Sacramento.

Welcome to Geekhack1

It is usually said that a FiIco will last for years - you are proof :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Welcome! Aren't Blues awesome? I'm typing on a Model M right now and it's great as well.

I use to travel 4.5 hours to Sacramento weekly (up to twice a week at times) at one point in my life.
