I originally got into mech keyboards when I finally got a typing intensive job (sysadmin/programmer) with a private office. I was using a Dell keyboard that came with a computer and figured THERE HAD TO BE A BETTER WAY! So I Googled around and found out there was a huge following for mechanical keyboards, and picked up a Filco Majestouch 2 Tenkeyless with Blues. I was very happy using it for hours a day until the rest of the IT department and I decided we would rather all have a common workspace instead of each having private offices. Now I felt bad for my office-mates having to listen to my clacking, found myself needing a number pad more often, and switched to a regular Apple keyboard (which I am still using now).
Once again, I am sick of using these keyboards, so I looked around again and decided to purchase a Leopold full keyboard with Reds, the soft landing pads, and some ninja style keys off ebay. Hopefully everything will be here in a couple weeks!
