Flashget G800 Mechanical Keyboard
« on: Tue, 09 April 2013, 09:16:48 »
Hey geeks,

Was browsing Ebay and saw this. I have not heard about this company but it seems like a nice looking Mech keyboard. Just wanted to see if anyone knew of the company and their reputation/quality?

That font... ugh.

But other than that, that's pretty clean for a gaming board these days.

The mods and side profile of the case makes me think this might actually be a Costar, but it's more likely the same OEM that makes the G710.

Seems to be a close relative of the LBots "Terminator".

FlashGet also has a few other models, like the G600 tenkeyless with a metal case (a.k.a. LBots "the mechanic")...they're certainly an interesting brand, but, despite that, I'm not sure if anyone has dared to try them out and report back about the build quality. Wish someone would, though.

If the wife would let me buy every keyboard I wanted to "try". I think we would be living under a bridge somewhere. If I do decided to get it a try I will post up a review. Also the font reminds me of the Razor Blackwidow font a little.

After taking a look at the G600 aka "The Mechanic" I am really thinking about trying to get my hands on one. I am currently looking for a TKL and I love the look of the switches exposed. Anyone know where I could possibly find one of these little guys? I would most likley be getting custom keycaps for it.

Thanks,

I would have to agree with you. The font is hideous.

the font looks like Razer BW. I like the spacebar backlit. ;) But fullsize is not something for me.

I currently have a WASD v1 Cherry Blue and absolutely love it for work (Software Engineer). I am looking for a new keyboard for home use and want one no bigger than a TKL. to be honest I am scared to go below a TKL to something like a 60%. The home use will be for gaming so I want to have my mouse as close to the keyboard as I can for comfort. Currently I a looking at the Flashget G600 or the TEX Beetle not sure which way to go though. Images below

The TEX I would get with the Blue Trim

or The Silver G600 (Keycaps do not matter, would get a custom set anyways)
