WTB: 1986 IBM Model M 1390120
« on: Sun, 14 April 2013, 14:40:06 »
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find one of these at the Chi gathering so I'm asking here.  There is one on ebay but I prefer to purchase from a GH'er with a good reputation.

Outside the possibilities of a modern mass produced SSK this specific model year / configuration is the one I gravitate towards the most.

I promise to give it a good clean home and will take it out to future keyboard gatherings  :D

I doubt that if you find one here it will need any cleaning, looks like everybody here keeps their boards clean. I know of which one you speak, just give the guy $50 offer and see what happens.

Oh and a lil teaser for you to get you going with the ebay offer :)

I put in an offer; we'll see what happens.

ebay Model M sellers seem to be the most dishonest truth stretchers I've ever run into.

Dante, what exactly makes your eBay Model M different from the ones Tipo was selling? Just curious.

No led's, just like the Realforce 86u. I like the aesthetics of it.

Not really Dante, most ebay sellers with store are very curtious and care for their rep, almost all that they care they say if something is wrong contact me before you leave negative feedback.

But hey dude your luck has changed!!!! look what I found for you, better go at it men, GO GO GO!!!!!

EDIT: board is only missing 3 keycap tops which you van aquire from Unicomp and also missing detachable cable which you can get from Unicomp also, its a good deal me thinks.
