If this is not welcome here or in the wrong subforum, please notify me and I’ll remove / try to move it.

I’ve been a part of this community for quite some time now and because I don’t have a lot I could contribute, I’ve been a silent reader for most of my time. I’m an IT-student and software developer from Germany. Over the last couple of months I’ve been working on a Mac application and feel that I’ve finally gotten something I could contribute to you guys. I’ve made this application for myself and some friends and got highly encouraged to put it on the AppStore. I’m a passionate developer who works at night while studying and having a regular job. This means that I worked 70h a week to complete this application and you can’t estimate how enormously happy I am to be able to publish it. Since I enjoy reading this forum a lot I wanted to share some free promo codes with you. There is a lot of know how here and I was hoping on some recommendations & feedback from you guys. It is very well appreciated. :) If you’ve any questions feel free to drop them. It doesn’t matter if they’re of personal nature or development oriented. You may also follow me on Twitter or App.net: @Beulenyoshi or check out my website: www.johannesmeyer.de

PS: If you like it, please consider rating it on the AppStore. I’ve no budget to finance any advertisement (Even had to create all the graphics by myself). So any rating from you could change my life. Thanks in advance! :)

EDIT 15.7.2013: There are 5 new codes in this post: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=45004.msg960484#msg960484

Dear mods? This is locked for 10h now and I wonder if I did something wrong? If so, tell me please...

Hey!

Sorry for the long delay, this is because you went about with the wrong procedure with posting a self advertising link

Forum Terms of Service (TOS)
Quote
Self-Advertising - Self-advertising is defined as linking to an external website promoting either yourself, your family, a friend or recruiting or any other purpose where the poster stands to gain by posting such link.  We may allow such links to be posted if the poster first asks the Moderators or an Administrator to review the content and express approval is given prior to posting.  Otherwise, failure to first contact us may result in a thread/post being edited or deleted, and may be cause for a warning.

With that said, we know you did not just register to advertise and judging from your website you seem to be a true keyboard enthusiast. While you may have very little posts here but that doesn't make you and less part of this community, and we're glad to have you around. Just next time please do PM one of us first before posting something like this

Thanks for approving it. :) I even went into the IRC chat to find one of you, but you were all off. BTT now.  ;)

This looks to be a very well designed and thought out file manager. Ease of use and functionality seem quite high.

I unfortunately still have 10.7 and won't upgrade to 10.8 until I get a new Mac later this year.

I'll be curious to hear how it performs on the App Store.

Thank you! This is very interesting to me because 10.8. is such a "must have" release when you have Lion. It made it so much faster and more usable (especially on my old machine)... Thanks for "unclaiming" the code! If you let me know when you've updated or a new machine, I'll hook you up with another code. :)

Considering the cheap price to upgrade OSX, I know it's kind of a no-brainer to do it. But my iMac is older and running fine with a clean 10.7 install, I don't use it for business or heavy application/rendering loads, but it does handle ALL of my stuff and without any problems. I look forward to my hardware/OS upgrade though :)

Thank you for the generous offer. Also, I think you've done a very nice job with the video.

I fixed the compatibility issues with 10.7 and uploaded the update today. You'll be able to get your fingers on it as soon, as it passed the review. I also added some new retina graphics. I hope you'll like it. :)
