New User Here! And question on CMStorm Quickfire TK!

Hi everyone!

I've actually been stalking this community for a while now  )

Recently got my first Cherry MX Blue CMStorm QFR and have been very pleased with it. However, I want to explore more key switches, such as cherry mx red. I was thinking about getting the CMStorm Quickfire TK.

Would it be a big difference in quality between the two models or how's the quality control on the TK?
I have searched the thread, some say they are made by different manufactures? One is Costar, the other...?

Anywho, would love some opinions before I jump the gun

I would go with the Quickfire, Costar made is proven to be good, here is my board and leaving you PM if your interested in getting new one for your self at good price.

Are you fine with desoldering and soldering? If so, you could do this: search for a Universal TKL stainless steel plate on the Classifieds, desolder all of your switches, put them in the new plate and resolder it all together. Doing this would allow you to easily swap different stems and springs in and out. Then you only need to find springs or stems or switches if need be.

tl;dr - for the price of a keyboard, buy some soldering equipment and a Universal TKL plate.
