Northgate Omnikey keyboard source/repair

I don't think this place is already listed in the forum, but they seem like a reputable source and repair shop for Northgate keyboards as well as any other keyboards that use Alps switches.  They have a variety of new and used/refurb Omnikeys as well, just e-mail for pricing (e.g. they have refurbished Evolutions for $79 and new for $120):

They have been referenced and mentioned several times.  :)

Not sure who has used them here.  I do have to say that that website is straight out of 1994 though.  :)

Oops, sorry about that. :)  Feel free to delete this thread, iMav. Seems like their site keeps with the vintage of some of their keyboards.  At least they're consistent. ;)

No need to the delete the thread.  References to their site are pretty buried by now...so it is good to revisit now and again.

Good luck dealing with them.  My experience of them was poor.

ecru, can you explain your experience? I've only talked to the guy on the phone and he seemed knowledgeable and on the level. I was considering sending him my Northgate a while back but a member told me how to fix the switch myself so I didn't have to.

See itlnstln, every post is relevant.

They seemed OK when I corresponded with them via e-mail, but I had already purchased an Evolution from C-Techsys.com (after dealing with their ****ty website; the keyboard is waiting at my doorstep when I get home from work).  Good to know about their poor-quality service, though, should I ever need to get this Evolution fixed.  Fortunately, I have a lot of experience with a soldering iron, so, other than parts, repairs shouldn't be a problem.
