How do trades work at Geeckhack?
« on: Wed, 10 July 2013, 11:10:03 »
Hello Guys,

I am relatively new here and I was wondering how do trades work here at Geeckhack? Like where do you post them or such? I have seen people trade before and how trustful is it?

Thank you!

You start in the classifieds, and you can only post there after you hit 60 post count. Most people have a heatware feedback, otherwise you can generally look around to see how trustworthy people are, or maybe ask them to provide evidence on past successful dealings.
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

Most trades around here are smooth and go as expected, but there are always some risk and possibility for jerk people that make a problem. Terms are all between the parties involved and there is not any regulation per se, so you need to use your own judgement to deal with another. I have been around for a few years now and have only had maybe 2 problematic transactions and I buy, sell and trade quite a bit.

Is like eBay sales a good way of showing transactions? Say mine is like 100% sell and such? I see though now and that makes sense to atleast have that many posts.

-Thank you!

It's up to the person on the other side of the transaction to decide whether your ebay status is of any merit.
