[ebay] Clevo rebranded Alps keyboard
« on: Thu, 06 June 2013, 00:39:53 »
Not sure if it's a great deal but I think it's interesting because you don't see ergonomic alps keyboards that often.
Simplified (grey) alps is my guess and I'm pretty sure these are just printed key caps. But nonetheless, I find it quite interesting and couldn't resist.
Seller accepted my offer so I bought one.

Clevo (Chicony KB-7000, Reveal KB-7061)

I will update once I get it next week. In the meantime, fellow Alps brothers chime in. :)

A very cool keyboard. I'm tempted to get one, especially because of the potential to add Matias new switch to it.

Picked one up.  Looks sweet.
60% keyboards, 100% of the time.

I got the board today and I actually really like the clicky grey alps. They're simplified clones but clicky. The springs seem to be the lightest I have typed on compared to all the other alps I've tried so far. I actually think once lubed a little, these will be even better to type on.

The keycaps are not double shots though, pad printed. The keyboard itself is lighter than I expected. Overall though, awesome purchase.

wut.. they're pad printed thin key caps. One of the flaws IMO.
