Any tenkeyless scissor switch keyboards out there?

The Apple wireless keyboard...sorta. Tis an odd keyboard layout, no numpad, but no navigation cluster either.

Logitech diNovo Edge. It had some of the best scissor switches I used. Caveat: Its wireless.

Another almost tenkeyless with scissors is the odd Lenovo ThinkPad USB Keyboard, which is essentially the keyboard from a thinkpad laptop in a freestanding form.

+1 that the Logitech diNovo Edge has a rechargeable battery though. At least tis better than the Apple Wireless Keyboard as it uses AA batteries.

You can't quickly swap out the battery if it dies in a keyboard like the diNovo Edge, if the batteries die in the Apple keyboard, you just pull a couple out of the charger and swap them out.

My diNovoEdge is 5 years old and still works fine. You can replace the battery, but as you noted, it is a bit of a PITA.

Just so you know, the diNovo Edge is big. Included trackpad, etc.

My diNovoEdge is 5 years old and still works fine. You can replace the battery, but as you noted, it is a bit of a PITA.

What I meant was that if you run out of power, you can quickly put in another set of AA batteries, unlike the diNovo where you need to plug it in for charging.

I've always had issues with Logitech devices that have rechargeable batteries in them, with the charge lasting significantly less than it should after only a few months of use. I'd much rather rely on standard AA Eneloops than a rechargable battery built into the device.

I have decided to get a Perixx Periboard 804, which is a cheaper and better looking rebrand of the Cherry KW 6000. This has an integrated battery and uses the Cherry SX switches which I like a lot.

Under GNU/Linux, btw, you can change the lower right arrow keys to be ctrl/alt/whatever. It's not difficult at all. Detailed here:

I'm also searching for a good scissor desktop board and just want to clarify that the Logitech 360, that I own, is rubber dome, not scissor. The key feel is mediocre but the layout is fantastic. I need an extremely quite keyboard but rubber domes don't do it for me. I will try the Wireless Iluminated next.

I also own the IBM laptop like keyboard. Great, just not wireless.

I have seen a scissor-switch chiclet keyboard in the familiar tenkeyless layout in a store, but I forgot to note the model number and I can't find it online. Sorry.. I think it was sold together with a HP desktop.
