Metallic serial sticker for QFR

I was trying to remove the top panel to change the leds and a switch. Unfortunately I removed the serial sticker 'cause I thought there was a screw. After almost drilling a hole in the case I realized there's no screw.  Well, it wasn't looking good after putting it back.



I'm thinking about a metallic sticker, kind of the Pure/Poker design. What do you think about these?

Why give CM free marketing? If you've already voided your warranty, you might as well put your own custom logo on it.

I didn't say that but I'll paint the top panel and there will be no logo. So I want to put at least one brand reference.

Not really. Even if I want to sell, I couldn't get a good price for it, based on the value of a new one.  )

Smoothing down adhesive stickers takes practice and finesse.

In general, it is best to start in the center and work radially outwards.

Flat surface to flat surface, you can sometimes start at a corner and use a straightedge to move across in a line, but that will not work here because your are inset in a depression.

My first try, in your case, would be to bend the sticker around a cylinder (ie my index finger) and touch down in the center. Then I would sweep sideways each way, then vertically each way, then diagonally.

Keep each stroke firm but gentle, and remember not to stretch the sticker unevenly in any direction.

Once down, I would burnish outwards from the center in a spiral, with a fabric layer on my finger to reduce friction.

I really like this one. However I think it would be cool if you put your name in the upper right/middle to add some personalization to it. Also how do you plan to make the stickers?

I did the same thing on my first QFR, though fortunately for me, I only removed half of it.

I don't see it as "why give CM free marketing, more of a: I enjoy this brand and want to show a sign of that appreciation on the back, incase anyone looks there.

Personally, I like the fifth one best, though having the serial number and product number on there would likely be more useful.
