RIP Cory Monteith
« on: Mon, 15 July 2013, 02:49:23 »
Not sure if there are any fans of Glee here but I occasionally watched it since it started. I kinda stopped because the newer episodes got kinda ehh stale. Cory Monteith(Finn) from Glee was found dead today in a Hotel. He apparently died from an overdose. This guy was going nowhere and had no career before he was found on Glee. He seemed like the guy everyone was rooting for. Before he died he was checked into rehab. It's very sad to hear young kids seemingly escape addiction but somehow get caught right back up in it. I have many sober friends. Kids on the path of being clean always seem to be humbled by everyday life. It's good to hear that they are sober but there is always that fear of hearing about them falling back and almost dying. As much hope I have for all the addicts trying to get sober it seems inevitable that they'll fall back using again.
Cory was dating Lea Michele(Rachel) before his death. Glee won't be the same.

That is horrible news, as someone who watched season one and two, (no one shall ever know me name), I was really intrigued by how the show went. He was definitely the main character to me, one who seemingly had it all but chose to help others, who knows how was was like in real life. As someone who does know a lot of non-sober friends in college, there are many horrible stories outt here, I would really not tamper with anything that could harm your body. Some people cannot tolerate weed, even though that is still quite safe (for the most part). Never start meth or heroine, not even once >.>

Didn't like the show in the slightest, but a death is a death and it's saddening.
