If you need solder, this is a heck of a deal.  Normally these rolls for For $30-40 shipped.  This is new old stock, but it shouldn't have any issues.

I picked one up, so if they're all gone by Friday and you want some, let me know.  I can spool some off and sell it to you at cost + shipping (whatever fraction of weight it is from 1lb) when I get mine.

Please open these up and take a good look at them.  I've got spools of vintage Kester that are useless since the flux core went to hell.  The solder itself burst open and the flux seeped out and crystallized all over the place.

Will do.  If it goes to hell like that, I'll just get a refund.  Older solder should be fine, but sometimes things happen.

I mine was roughly $50 after shipping and tax from amazon that I picked up about a year ago. This a great deal, but it's cheap for a reason. Believe it or not, solder has a shelf life, which is 3 years I believe. These manufactured over 10 years ago, so they will not perform has good as non expired solder. The flux will not flow properly, and the surface of the wires are well oxidized. Worst case, they will not work at all. The fumes will smell terrible.

iirc from the datasheets kester 44 63/37 has a 3 year shelf life. after that all bets are off. one of the reasons kester 44 is such good flux is because it's very active; hence the relatively low shelf life compared to most solders.
