Hi all.

I have been using Mechanical Keyboards for a little while, but upon the arrival of this...

I thought I would join.  I will be hunting some keycaps soon and may need some help.

I also own a Filco Majestouch Brown switched unit (I like my colleagues enough not to subject them to blues) with side printed keys which is my daily driver at  the office.

On top of that I have a hacked Cherry G80-3000 as well.  It includes some added extras that I ought to write about on my website (http://www.justblair.co.uk) at some point.  But a teaser for you...

I will stress that this is a WIP and the servos that perform the trick in the video need upgraded to better units.

So hello!

The automatic feet is sweet, what triggers it? a program or a key?

Welcome to geek hack!

A capacitive sensor built into the perimeter of the keyboard.  As your hands approach the keyboard, the keyboard jumps up to the typing position.

At least that is the plan.  The Servos are underpowered a little.  I need to use beefier units, but that means redesigning the feet.

Yep I will read that one through.  I have made my own 3D printer.  The feet in the movie clip are 3D printed
