A shipping mistake that actually worked out.
« on: Thu, 08 August 2013, 21:43:42 »
I recently ordered 2 Tex Beetle keyboards in both mx brown and mx blue. When i got the package today i was upset to find the two keyboards are the Poker II. I emailed Tigerimports and told them about the problem. However, while waiting for them to email me back i fell in love with the cherry mx blue poker. So, when they emailed me and told me they would clarify things ASAP, i had to ask if i could keep the Poker blue and just return the Poker brown, and have them just ship me the Tex Beetle brown. I am waiting for their reply but i have to say, i really love this Poker and i didn't think i would. It's not backlit but that is okay. Some times mistakes like this turn out to be a good thing. I had the Poker I but this one feels so much better.

Why do you buy your keyboards in blue and brown pairs? Noticed your minila sale was the same.

I too thought the poker II felt much better than original.

If you really want back lighting it can be done!

I think he meant that as more of "why did you buy the same switches" instead of experimenting with new ones.
GON NS 87 62g clears, QFR 62g clears, Pure 65g blues, HHKB Pro II

Actually, I did mean what Findecanor thought I meant. And that appears to be a good reason, blues for home and browns for office. Though I personally would have it the other way around

The cherry mx browns and blues i prefer over the blacks and red switches. I also love topre keyboards. I find that not all blue and brown keyswitches are alike and i like to find the right keyboard for me with the specific keyswitches. I actually have a cherry mx blue at work. I don't care if it is too loud...it makes me sound busier than i actually am.  ;D

Yeah. The poker 2 doesn't feel as "cheap" as the first one did. This feels a lot more solid. Now, how can that backlighting be done?  ;D

Whoa! That looks intimidating to fix up. I think i will keep it as is. I wish the Poker was Bluetooth but this is really nice.
