I recently picked up a nearly unused HHKB Pro 2 in black (printed keycaps), since I'm not a big fan of black keyboards I would like to trade it for a white one (with printed keycaps) in similar condition, that means nearly unused, without any significant/visible signs of wear, and boxed as new (carton, original cable, manual).

As you can probably imagine, I don't want to ship my keyboard, hoping the one I'm trading with ships his/hers too, just to get scammed. I would like to trade locally, that means you can pick up the keyboard and trade it in person. I'm located near Hamburg, Germany. However, I also offer international shipping, that means, You will ship your board to me, and I will ship mine to you. However, in Order to not risk to get scammed, the one I am trading with will need to ship their keyboard first, after I received it, I will be immediately shipping mine to you. Please only accept my offer if you are fully aware of this and OK with it.

If you happen to be near me and/or are interested in my offer, contact and I will provide more details.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: Since highly I doubt there will be anyone near me here in Germany who is interested in my offer, I now decided to offer shipping, even internationally. However, to guarantee that I actually receive the keyboard, the one I am trading with, will need to ship their keyboard first, after I received it, I will be immediately shipping mine to them. That's the only way I can think of to make this trade safe for me, without risking to get scammed. Please only consider trading with me if you are fully aware of this fact and agree on it.

Like I mentioned in the description, I bought it "used", but it was used only for a week and then put back into its packaging. I paid 150 EUR for it, which is about 170 dollars. It only may be a little dusty in between the keys, but no scratches or other cosmetic damage. Its basically like new.

So, are you interested in the deal? I see you do indeed own a white HHKB, and, what I just noticed, you are located in the Netherlands, which means inside the EU. That would make thinks a lot more easy. Because shipping would only take a few days instead of many weeks or even months.

I would be more interested in buying it honestly, not in trading it. So if all you want is trade, I'm not really able to help. But I would be interested in buying it from you.

I am only really interested in trading it, because the amount of money I would get for it, now after I told you what I paid for it, I wouldn't be able to afford a new white one for that, not even close. Except you know somebody else who wants to sell their White HHKB for about 150 EUR, or 170 dollars. If you do, I would be interested in selling it to you. Otherwise I cant help.

I am only really interested in trading it, sorry.

Sure, no problem. It is as it is.

If you rethink, let me know. If not, fine :-)

Another question: what do you particularly dislike about the black variant?

I modified my answer, so I would be interested selling, when I had someone who would be willing to sell theirs for about what I paid for it. I can not point out what in particular I dislike about the black variant, I just like the clean and kind of retro look of the white one, It reminds me of the first macintosh keyboard, which has to be the greatest keyboard in existence.

So do I understand it know that you ARE willing to sell it or not? Both is still fine :)

If you like the "clean macintosh look" perhaps you would like the realforce 87U in white more? Looks more retro perhaps?

I AM willing to sell it to you, IF you (or I) find someone who is willing to sell their White HHKB to me, for about the price I paid for my black one. The Realforce looks to standard (boring) and also has the standard ANSI layout, which I am not a big fan of. I LOVE the HHKB layout and the way it looks. Its also smaller, I like 60% boards. I also love the 45g case mounted switches. I also just like the HHKB more, it looks better, cleaner, with its nice light blue accents, and yea, looks like the macintosh. I will probably buy a 87U at some point anyway tho.

EDIT: I actually just changed my profile picture to the macintosh, huh.
