Thoughts on Ducky DK9008G2
« on: Tue, 20 August 2013, 13:56:09 »
Hey guys, I currently have Cmstorm Quickfire Tk with cherry Mx blues and I'm a little bit new to mechanical keyboards as ive only had this one for a few months. I was thinking of getting Ducky DK9008G2 with green switches because I heard they feel very nice on the fingers and ive been just itching to get a keyboard without backlight; I don't know why but backlights just don't appeal to me anymore. Does anyone else feel that way? Anyways i'm new and I was wondering if the Ducky DK9008G2 is the optimal choice here for a green switch primary typing keyboard. What do you guys think?  :-\

Yes I would recommend the ducky dk9008 g2 pro with green switches, very solid board with nice keycaps. One thing to keep in mind is that their greens need some time to break in comoare those of the cm stroms.

I have one with clears and I love it! The only problem I have is with the pbt spacebar because it makes an annoying squeak and does not feel right, but it feels fine with an abs spacebar. However, it seems that I am the only one with that problem.

How are Clear switches in comparison to greens or blues. I wish there was some way for me to test drive each switch for myself >_<!

There are switch sampler packs but it's very hard to determine what you like with only one switch.

I agree! I would need around 6-10 switches so I could simultaneously press them with multiple fingers. All I know for sure is I really like clicky keys so im just gonna stick with switches like that until meet with one of my friends who lives far off that has some red and black switch keyboards I can try :P
