Is there a point in getting a Grafiti Wrist Rest instead of what I have?

I currently have a Handstands Beaded Ergonomic Keyboard Wrist Rest. Sometimes the beads can get way too moldy (not the bad mold, like they mold to my wrist and sinks in ). Is there any real reason for me to get the Grifiti Fat Wrist Pad instead? Like is it worth the $14?

Info on me: I spend all day after school on my computer doing homework then gaming and web surfing later on. Should I use my money on the Grafiti pad or just stick with my current one?

They're comfortable and Grifiti has excellent customer service.  Anecdote:  I e-mailed them about a defective product late on Friday, got a personalized e-mail within the hour, and had a replacement by the following Monday or Tuesday.

That said, I've moved over to a wood wrist wrest and won't look back.  I find it's generally more comfortable.

If you like what you have, stick with it.  The Grifiti ones are, just different.

The slope of the wood wrest allows your arms, wrist, and fingers to rest in a more natural position when you're not typing.  Since the meat of your palm is resting on the slope, you don't have any pressure on the bones in your wrist.  The gel ones and others like it rely on your hands sinking into them.  I find my hands get sweatier and hotter using a gel one than wood and they're just less comfortable to me since the joints tend to rest on the wrests more with gel while the meat of my palms wrests on the slope of the wood wrests.

I agree that if a wood rest is at the right height and slope it is more comfortable and better for you than a soft rest.

It's not too tough, it just takes time.  I actually only use my Pau Amarello one now.  I sold one of the black and red ones as an extra, then got an offer too good to refuse for the other.  The Red Gum one is just sitting there since I haven't found any case set up for my own personal tastes that it works with yet.
