flytexpress Shipping.

Hey guys,

Just a quick question;

For any of you that have ordered products from Qtan in the past and used the 'expidited shipping' option, I'm just wondering what their experiences are/were like?

I'm just curious as I've not had a change in the shipping information since Monday and what not, is this kind of like how it is with MechanicalKeyboards, once it's left their warehouse or whatever, the shipping information is rarely updated and 'may' only change once the item has been delivered or?

I actually just received an order from qtan today using expedited shipping, a Leopold FC660M w/ MX Clears Grey-on-Dark-Grey, and I placed the order on Monday. I would consider that very timely. I also ordered a Keycool 84 w/ MX Blues with expedited shipping, so we'll see how that turns out, but based on this first order, I would say expedited shipping is definitely worth it.

You ordered on Monday and got it today? Damn man, that's some amazing shipping right there.

Did you check the shipping information on a frequent basis or didn't you bother? as like I said, the shipping information has not changed so I'm just assuming it's not been updated and is in transit.

I checked the delivery status very regularly, and it never really updated beyond "package received". But then I got a text message from DHL yesterday, saying that they would be delivering me a package today. I was surprised by how quick it was. Here's to hoping the Keycool 84 will get here as quickly  :D

Edit: Just to give you some more info, based on the ebay tracking system, my Leopold was shipped out of China on Wednesday @ 5:15pm (my time, MDT) and I just received it today at noon.

When I ordered my ducky from him near a year ago, I got it via DHL like 2 day air.  It was nuts.

Wow, he delivers to you guys in the states really quickly that is awesome. I'm over here in the UK you see, that's awesome though. Hopefully it'll be here by next friday then? can't wait, thanks guys. I was a bit uneasy about this service as I've never heard of them, but of course that would make sense considering I don't like in China, lol.

Hi there, If you got a flyexpress tracking number don't use the website qtan provides in the email, the tracking will stop at the flytexpress sorting center (at least it happened to me) instead go to the chinese site : http://flytexpress.com/ and track it here.

In my case it took 9 days to receive it because the FedEx guys are idiots.

Hey man, thanks for taking the time to write this reply.

I've already done this and sadly, I'm having the same problem as you, but I don't mind too much, all of you guys have gave pretty much great reviews regarding delivery times and what not, so I'm not that fussed really. Obviously I'd like to have more up-to-date tracking information but, I guess this is just the way it is sometimes, especially when it's coming from overseas, oh well.

Is this what yours said btw?



Strangely enough, when I track it on my phone using the Parcel app, this is what's displayed, which is.. weird, I suppose.

But like I said, based on all of your recommendations Qtan is apparently getting his parcels delivered on a very quick basis using Expedited shipping, so I have no doubts that it'll arrive on Monday-Friday this coming week! :)

Well from the moment I got Qtans email that my keyboard was shipped and got the tracking number it took 3 days before there were any updates. At first it only said electronic data received, which I think it's when he orders the delivery online or something then after 3 days it said " item picked up" when the parcel is actually given to flytexpress and the weird date "1/1/0001" became an actual date. Then after another 3 days of no updates I found the chinese website that had everything.

I checked this morning, and there has been movement. It looks like it's departed China and is on its way across the Pacific. I'm curious to know which entity will actually be delivering the package because from what I've read it could be DHL, FedEx, or the USPS. I really hope it's the latter because it's the most convenient for me to sign for (if needed) and pick up. I have no idea how DHL would work, and I despise FedEx.

My shipment's tracking appears to be fully up to date. It did leave China but took a side trip to Hong Kong. I wonder if that's where all US bound packages must go for customs and such. It should now be on its way over here, hopefully straight to Chicago.

It actually showed up yesterday, but that's not the whole story. I'm guessing Hong Kong is where the package was transferred to DHL. It took a trip across the ocean to Cincinnati, then immediately over to Chicago. On Tuesday I received a text message from DHL with the tracking number and a link to a website where I could set up a custom delivery if I so chose. I elected for them to hold off delivery until today (Thursday) because someone would be home to receive/sign for it. I also chose for the driver to leave the box if no one was home. Turns out that request didn't mean a thing because the tracking showed that it was delivered yesterday (Wednesday).

While I'm certainly happy to have my new toy and can't complain about a shipment only taking four business days to travel nearly 8,000 miles, it is disappointing that DHL didn't listen to my request. I think a polite but firm e-mail to their corporate office is in order.

Any updates on your package?
