Mystery Shirts from ThinkGeek
« on: Fri, 27 September 2013, 12:32:18 »
ThinkGeek is selling mystery shirts for $2.99

They do warn you will probably get duplicate shirts if you order multiples, but still, pretty cheap for usually awesome shirts!

AND IT GETS BETTER!
The mystery shirts are Best Sellers, which means you can use the coupon code:

>> PIPINGHOT << Expires 9/30/2013

For buy one get one 50% off!  This makes it two shirts for $4.50!! (+shipping)

What's hilarious is that shipping is 2x the cost of the shirt. $3 shirt $6 shipping.

Thanks for this link. I ordered 2 t-shirts.

Well, yeah. But that's only because the t-shirts are already discounted. Would it make you feel better if one t-shirt was $10 with $6 shipping?

By the way, for anybody in Canada, economy shipping only goes up in price every two shirts, so it's pretty much always better to get the shirts in sets of two (not only because of the coupon code!)

Not sure how the shipping within the US prices out, but probably better to get pairs anyways as well!

Would I feel better about paying more? No. It was simply the case that tripling the price changed the equation enough for me to pass and was noting that.

This is also why I think Amazon Prime is bloody brilliant, I looked at this and said "Eh, a $10 mystery shirt I may only wear as a work shirt doesn't really interest me," but on Amazon with free 2nd day shipping I'd have been over it.

T-shirt per day websites do this occasionally, to clear out stock of the shirts that did not sell too well.
I have been fooled into buying a couple of them a few times, and got disappointed when they had arrived.

In for 2. Even if I end up getting crappy graphics on them that I don't really care about, I'll just wear it as lounge wear/sleep wear at home. 2 shirts for $10.22 shipped is hard to beat.

Exactly.  I ordered a pair and threw in the 2013 Halloween shirt for $10 more (only raised the shipping $1).
