Greetings from Germany from a new member!
- Hm - What could I reveal? - I'm over 40 Years old. In my teens I grow up with a C128 DCR in my Family. That were the last Years of the golden Age of Homecomputers (At my friends i had played with Atari ST, Atari Xl, Amstrad CPC, C64).
My first experience with an *real* Keyboard was with a (at that time not very old) IBM XT in my training. There it was: a big, loud (MFM-Harddisks: woeeeee-klack-krrkrrr) PC with amber Display - I was shocked - no fancy colours - no mouse - that was a "PC" ? The Keyboard had a weird Layout with stepped Keys (The Model F !!!) - Asking: Must I enter my Data for analysis in this Behemoth ? I must - OK. But the Keyboard was a DREAM - satisfying Klicks and feeling, and i found all Letters.
Geekhack helped me in my searches for an "modern" Keyboard like that one in the past - Little did I know. Result: A old Model M sits now in front of me (Lexmark 1399002 06-Jun-1994 / Eb*y/ I couldn't found any at fleamarket or "Sperrmüll" or Recycling for 1 Year - No luck).
The old Lady has some health problems, the "o" goes d"oo"uble and the Backspace isn't reliable- new Hammers are underway from UK and the Bolts for Bolt-Modding are in my hands.
At geekhack i found advice in just reading the threads
- Many Thanks for that! -

And i just missed the Group-Buy of an DSA Retro-Set in Brown-plume-green Nooo!

I like my Buckling-Spring very much - so nothing is lost.
But next time iI'm prepared ...
Greetings, Kai
