Judd Apatow, Model M Fan?
« on: Mon, 23 March 2009, 22:11:35 »
Hey All,

I was just watching the movie Knocked Up the other night, and noticed that twice, in the scene where Bill Hader (the dude from SNL) and Katherine Heigl are editing the footage in which Katherine's character pukes during the interview with James Franco, the entire bottom half of the screen in filled with the image of a Model M in front of the video editing station.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed that, and if maybe Apatow is paying tribute to the good ol' Model M? :)

Cool... I've not seen the movie yet but will be watching for it when I do.

Thanks for the alert!

I was watching Unearthing Ancient Discoveries (or something like that) on the Science Channel last night, and the researcher unearthing all the ancient discoveries was using a Model M on his 3D modeling machine.

Ha.  They will probably find one in about 3000 years, and it will still work.

I borrowed a copy of the DVD and looked again, and think I was wrong.  Oops.  :)

Doesn't look like a Model M after closer inspection...

Yeah that abominable enter key indicates it is not a Model M.

and the small Backspace key

I can take the different size Enter/Return keys, but the small Backspace key kills me.  I can't type on those keyboards.

Looks awfully close to the Model M though, if it was not for the Enter key.

It looks like a Model M knockoff.

Which was quite common back in the day...
