Playing single player nowadays is like watching a movie, with all the cut-scenes and ****. Everybody loves movies right?
No, if you sit down to play games and go play your modern AAA rail-shooters that's your fault, there are still plenty of good single-player experiences to be had.
I'm not implying it's a bad experience, the feeling I get from watching an action movie or playing the newest call of duty single player is about the same.
Yeah, I get that, but that's like saying TV is **** because there's Big Brother or whatever morons watch these days on there. There's good **** on TV, and there are good single-player experiences to be had if you look beyond the AAA shovelware.
That's impossible since I never said anything was ****. More like saying Big Brother resembles the real word since both are more or less filled with morons. I happen to like the so called "AAA shovelware" but doesn't mean it's the only ice cream flavour I like.
I will admit my comparison was a bit extreme, but the point still stands. Your initial post implied that singleplayer in general is a poor experience(may not have been your intention, but that was what was communicated, since comparing games to film is rarely used positively), based on attributes only found in some games.
Although now we're down to nitpicking, so not really worth arguing over.
