I'm gonna have to get my snow tires put on my wheels sometime this fall. Probably November. Won't be able to do that, though, until I replace my tie-rod ends and get my front end aligned.

I need to rotate my tires. The fronts are starting to get bald, but the backs have almost all the tread left on them.

Might be able to find some good used tires to throw on the back once you rotate them too. Honda Civics have a pretty common wheel size if I remember right.

Tires for my car aren't all that expensive. For 4 brand new Firestones (which are really good tires) it was under $100 a tire.

When I got tires it was like ~$700 for all 4, I wanted to puke.

That's not bad at all! Tires for my Mercedes are relatively cheap too. Nothing like truck tires.

I used to play this game, I was a well known admin in this community. My skype was on various forums etc.

Well, one day this chinese guy (girl?) added me and explained to me that (s)he wanted to learn english better so because she was an international marketer for a tire export company in China.

I added her to my community's skype groups and from there on many interesting (tire) stories began.

I don't know why I shared this, seemed related.

This is to you Kior.

If your tyres aren't rotating, you might want to get your wheel bearings looked at.

All hail the Shark God!

An OP meant tyres.  Silly Americans :))
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Continental gatorskins on my bike

Vredestein volante though I preferred my older maxxis detonator more. I'm worried about the conti's rain performance, as it's almost a slick.

As seen in my car picture: bridgestone RE11, though I will be replacing them with winter tires soon

Tyres?

On the front wheel of my mountain bike I have a Maxxis Ignitor:

And on the rear wheel, a Maxxis Cross-Mark:

On my car I have Pirelli's, only because that's what was on there when I brought it and I haven't needed a change of tyres yet.
