HHKB :)

But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. +1 for HHKB I just got mine and love it.

+1 on HHKB recommendations. "You will be assimilated, resistance is futile!"  :)) HHKB owners have a force to be reckoned with!

On a more serious note, the OP did not state what was his/her budget therefore it does not rule HHKB out of the question. Then there are seconds if one is on a budget.

HHKB has weird layout imo

You could always remap keys/reprogram the controller if need be. Apart from the layout, HHKB Pro is the only 60% board with Topre switches. Once you iron out the kinks with the layout you may find the Topre switches are fairly comfortable to type with.

Try looking things from a broader picture. Layouts are a fairly trivial issue compared to the switch it uses. You don't exactly pay the price for one just because of its layout alone but of many reasons including the layout.

Meh now you made me feel dirty for sounding like a salesman/HHKB representative.  :p

No doubt hhkb and since you ald have a 60 percent and you like it. BUT hhkb costs 500 sing dollar here. Damn exorbitant but worth every penny. If u can afford it. If not a strong contender with topre switch at half tthe price. And some keyboard guru says they even prefer thocky feeling associated with leopold topre board 660c than a realforce or hhkb one. I waiting for my 6606c from local seller

Because the keys vary so much, I'd actually recommend a Keycool 84. Significantly smaller than a TKL, with pretty much full functionality, quite cheap ($100, or $125 backlit shipped from mechanicalkeyboards). There's even a white version with PBT caps for only $100 (here).
