Power requirement for Poker 2
« on: Wed, 08 January 2014, 11:40:10 »
Crazy random question, but does anyone know how much power the poker 2 requires?

and how would one test to see how much power draw a usb item is using?

( bought a poker 2 for my ipad, and i'm worried it will require more power than my QFR that I currently use with it, and i've read the ipad can only put out 20mA from the lightning to USB connector. )

I found this on reddit by googling "poker 2 keyboard power consumption". Seems like it might be useful.

A usb 2.0 max uses 500mA...if that helps. I know it's not exact to how much the poker will use, but that's a good indicator for future reference...

yeah, i've read that article, thogh its a few years old, so i'm not sure how current it will be.
I'm assuming in the link the poster is talking about the poker 1 and the ipad in question is a few generations and OS's old.
