HHKB, a new problem
« on: Tue, 24 February 2015, 21:10:57 »
First mechanical keyboard: Ergodox blues
Second: Poker II clears
Third and the rest: HHKB and topre(s), maybe others; no more cherries
Problem: The type-s was for work, now I'll need another one for home.
Dilemma: Another type-S or a realforce.

Comments: Picked the ergodox over the HHKB a year ago. Fixed that choice a week ago. Listened to topres on YouTube, read comments; everything was what I expected and more.

Aren't all the silent RF's variable?  If so you will need to go down that route..which you may or may not like...You can modify one yourself to make it silent...and if you already love the HHKB type-S...can't go wrong with that..

Personally, my variable RF gets more love than my HHKB..which is weird because I really love using my HHKB..but over the course of many hours it is just far more comfortable using a RF...but I enjoy using my HHKB more..

IMO nothing beats the 55g uniform Realforce. I felt that it was heavy at first but I got used to it quickly, however, I don't usually type for more than 1-2 hours straight.

lol i can almost imagine a solution: left hand on hhbk, right hand on rf.
