Clean Model F XT, don't bid above starting bid
« on: Wed, 15 January 2014, 05:15:00 »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-IBM-computer-PC-83-keys-keyboard-for-model-5150-XT-etc-/131093923805?pt=US_Vintage_Computing_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e85ce87dd

This is truly the cleanest F XT I have seen so far.

Due to high starting bid, not a particularly good deal. ($57 shipped) But the cosmetic condition might suggest keyboard has been very well kept.

Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Fortunately XT's are pretty easy to clean up. This one was a bit pricey without the original box :)

I'm not sure if this was refurbished at some point, but it doesn't appear so. In fact, it looks absolutely brand new (without box). I think I got a collector's quality keyboard here.

The plastic covering is still intact over the case badge, with no deterioration underneath. Hell, it even smells new!
