ALPS Tenkeyless Boards?
« on: Thu, 13 March 2014, 23:50:58 »
Do any ALPS TKL's exist?

Other than the homemade boards, I know Ducky and Filco used to make them, but they're pretty much moribund.

Here are a few...

Siig Minitouch
Suntouch Jr
Apple M0116
Apple IIGS
Ergo Computing Enhanced 101
Matias Laptop Pro
Matias Secure Pro
Matias Mini Quiet Pro
Matias Mini Tactile Pro

If you're looking for a layout similar to TKL boards with MX switches, that might be your problem.

There are also quite a few asian-made boards with clone Alps, but I'm too lazy to find them.

PS: I also would of liked to have a Filco/Ducky TKL Alps board as a cheaper alternative to buying a custom board. Those boards are great to transfer keys out of those darn single unit backspace Alps boards.

These have a numpad. Do they really qualify?

I wouldn't really consider the Matias boards as TKL either, as they've got more missing than just a num-pad.
Collector-of-switches.  Cherry: red, brown, blue, black, grey (linear), green.  Alps: simp./comp. white, comp. blue, Matias.  NMB: white, black.  Futaba: Cherry stem.  Omron: yellow.  Topre: 45g  Various: Apple II+, TRS80 Model 1, C64, Acorn Electron, ZX81 (lol!).

I guess not... I was looking too much into the form factor.

Ducky makes one as well

Made one.  They haven't been in production for some time.
