Custom CZech keycaps for CM Storm Quickfire
« on: Thu, 24 April 2014, 12:38:08 »
Hello I know that I should look first and make a thread later, and I did but I still cant find shop in Europe where I could get 18 individualized keycaps for my CM Storm Quickfire. Could anybody tell me if I can buy them and if yes where :)

Thank you very much :)

You could grab one of these and steal it's keycap set. Then you get Czech layout and nicer keycap as well.

... except that a lot of keys are not a perfect match.

Still, the Cherry G80 keys are quite nice. Much liked around here.

This is true, that model isn't the most ideal for a full cap set, but I could not find any other TS models for a decent price and it should not be too hard to get the rest of the necessary caps like the bottom row, right shift, etc from a bargain price used G80-3000 or a forum member.

Welcome to GH!

You can
  • order a custom keycap set from WASD Keyboards, it's neither cheap, nor the best quality though;
  • try to find a Cherry G80/G81 keyboard w/ Czech lettering, but some keycaps probably won't fit (because of their size) and if you mix sets, profiles (including key heights) won't match, it's uncomfortable IMO;
  • use stickers;
  • browse Aukro or raid thrift stores, but I already do that (and I do have two keyboards w/ Czech MX-compatible keycaps, one needs retrobright);
  • touch type.
