is that something he got made by himself (since it is called JD)? Don't I wish I had a similar purely custom made keyboard for myself!

Any chance you have another white keycool 87 with different switches? Been looking for it for a while but with MX blues or maybe reds.

No, sorry. I only have this one, which I had imported by imsto. Black switches are nice, though! :D

Do you have any info on how it was made? Just trying to learn something here. One day I"d like to get my own custom keyboard made also, but I suspect that's just a dream.

The SmallFry Keyboard redesign is still in testing. It uses SMD components, has holes for PCB mounting switches and stabilizers, and supports backlighting with aid of a (future) add on module.

These are an earlier design, also by regack, that were made to my specifications. They use all through hole components, and are powered by a Teensy 2.0. I had the steel cases laser cut, and I assemble everything myself. I am making a few of these early models available for people who want a 40% to use immediately, before they are widely available.

As someone who bought one of these earlier models, I can safely say that you won't regret the purchase at all. The PCB is great, the teensy and TMK firmware is very easy to use, and the case is beautiful in its simplicity. If I didn't live in a studio, I'd buy one for each room. Come to think of it, I do have a bathroom...

JD I think I might just have to cave on this one. It looks amazing!
Do you think you could lower the price if I sourced my own switches? Would you subtract the cost of the switches + soldering labor fees?

Thanks! It was either this, a 60%, or a 55g RF. These things look awesome though—I hated having to move my fingers too much and love the idea of being able to access all symbols/numbers from the homerow. What an awesome keyboard!

good board you have there, however $200 seems a bit out of my reach. GLWS

I'll be waiting for the final revision with SMD components.
TOO MANY KEYBOARDS THAT I COULD NOT COUNT! BUT I AM STILL USING MY MODEL F77

No, sorry. There are still a few days left to get into 7bit's Round 5 group buy on Deskthority (HONEY/FORTY), and I believe BunnyLake will be including 40% compatibility kits in his future group buys at Ctrl Alt Store.

I can probably do ghetto greens for you. If you're interested, send me a PM. Once we work out what you want, you send payment, and I have 30 days from that date to get it built and shipped out, barring unforseen circumstances, such as plates taking longer than usual to get to me, etc.

If I made the thread today, it would be in Artisan Services. But I'm leaving it here, because I sold that AT Model F, and it gives reference for pricing. :pbbbbt:

Locking this thread.

New thread in Artisan Services here.
