« on: Wed, 30 April 2014, 15:55:46 »
Qtan has some aluminium cases for sale on his site, i'm sure they are not tex or vortex quality, but was wondering if anyone has any reviews of them anywhere?

I bought one of the acrylic cases off him, and i was kinda disaponited by the quality, but unsure about these.

I find the stock poker too light and had to add weights and new feet to mine to get it where it would not move on my desk. Hoping an alum. case would fix that issue as I hope to be building another poker soon.

May I ask how and where you added the weights? Inside the case obviously, but what material?

I found a metal bracket and went to town on it with an angle grinder. Then fit the little pieces into the bottom of the case and put duct tape over it. But this is on a QFR, the poker may be different.

I'm also interested in his case. I sent him an email for more details. Just waiting for a response. I'll post it when he does.
