Not being made by gearbox and a press release saying "we reserve the right to pretty much lie about ****" does make a few A:CM(and maybe a few DNF) themed alarm bells ring somewhere off in the distance, although considering the established success and importance of Borderlands I'm guessing it'll be ok. Still, I'm not going to make up my mind before the game is actually out.

I read another article saying something about this. Apparently there's more copies of Borderlands 2 out than there are Xbox One and PS4 purchased. And I guess 2K said it doesn't make sense to make a game for such a small audience. So they're sticking with the last gen stuff.

It was gearbox that said that, but yeah.  It feels very much like a "expect an uberpack in a year before the release of borderlands the third"

Same boat here.  Even if it feels like a giant BL2 expansion with new characters, I will still be stoked.

Just fyi the firstBorderlands on PC needs serious work. I can generally stand lower FOVs, but I could not play Borderlands. The second one is spectacular on PC though.
