need help purchasing keycap set
« on: Sun, 29 June 2014, 18:16:30 »
So i want this set of keycaps.

http://imsto.cn/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=56

PBT-dye sub.

but the problem is there are two retailers that have the same set and i am not sure which to order from. both are pretty much the exact price. i am not sure if they are 100% the same, but they look like it. also, on the IMSTO link, it says it is R4 height, will that work for number keys? because it says for F-rows.

strafe is currently selling a set of those caps, only to Australians atm. though, but perhaps you can strike a bargain.

Here the link to his thread.

the problem is i am in canada and would likely be more expensive than i can buy them brand new. its 40$ for brand new ones with shipping from these retailers and he wants 45

Okay, that's not a solution then.

They should both fit on the number row considering there comes an escape cap with the set.
I have no experiences with either of the stores, but I would probably go with Originative since they're closer to where you live (Imsto is in China).
On the other hand I know of a lot of people that have bought caps from Imsto and received them.

Roll a dice. I'm not to much help here.

+1. IMSTO is good, but not that great at communicating. A recent order of mine was in "processing" state until the day before the items arrived, but everything I've ordered has arrived and in reasonable time.

I've also had good experiences buying from Originative, but some others apparently haven't. He used to have a vendors subforum here.

So, I'd probably go with IMSTO if it were me.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.
