Unicomp Classic for gaming ?

Hello guys.

I am considering buy Unicomp ultra with PS/2 connection.

I want to use office work and as well as gaming. (FPS and fighting games such as Street Fighter Mortal Kombat fightin games etc.)

for this keyboard : Can I suffer any ghosting issue on games?

please help me Unicomp users. Did someone do anti-ghosting test for unicomp keyboard?

I have played a small handful of games on my Unicomp USB with no 'ghosting' issues at all.

More than enough for games like League of Legends.  2 kro doesn't mean only two buttons can be registered, only that is the minimum where it's guaranteed.  There are combinations of keys where more than 3 will register.

Play in Diamond with my Unicomp.  No issues except it's LOUD.

As much as I love my Model F for everyday typing, I much prefer linear switches for gaming, but that's me. In my experience, double tapping (and quick tapping) is less cumbersome with the latter.

Very true, although some people game just fine with tactile/clicky switches. I'm one of those few. Clicky ftw.

But the combination of clicky and 2KRO makes for a poor gaming experience IMO.

FWIW, I prefer clicky over linear for FPS'.

What did you decide?

2KRO or 3KRO is bad for gaming. So I thinking another solution. But i did not decide. There are a lot keyboards.  it is hard to decide

I don't think you'll have a problem. I use virtually only vintange boards with 2KRO, and game with all of them just fine. Most can even do WAD, shift, control, space, all at once and that's more than are actually usable ingame. So I'm not really seeing where that's an actual issue. This set of keys is what I test for games like Warframe and Mass Effect 3 (for all diagonals along with the others).

I've played through all the FEAR games with default keyboard mappings on a Model M before (same matrix as that unicomp, probably), and that's also quite a few keys to do all the time stopping and whatnot.

Things like 'WED' generally do not work on a 2KRO board, but that's generally not needed. I've only run into a few that really only allow 2 keys at once, and I'd agree that that is a bit much. But most of the time 2KRO is totally fine. So yeah, if you like buckling springs no reason not to.

I am an RTS guy but I've played CS:GO with my unicomp.  No problems with the WASD cluster while jumping or crouching.  Not a CS:GO pro though.

I have played a bit of Minecraft with my Model M - didn't notice any problems with KRO or actuation force, although I did get a few sidelong glances from my better half because of the noise
