Rosewill useful for parts - someone wanted to buy a keyboard for parts?

Should be able to get it for opening bid of $18 shipped, $20 at most. Non working Rosewill. These are great for novice modders. Good quality build, usually it's only the USB connector that's not working, and standard layout for keycaps. Also, if the controller is dead, you can always buy one from Bpiphany.

I'm really posting this for a Malaysian guy who'd posted in classifieds wanting to buy non-working keyboards for parts. Can't remember his name and can't find his thread. Why bother to pay $10 shipped for a plate when you can get switches and casing and USB cable all together?

even then the pcb itself is likely okay: just clean it and desolder some if necessary.

sakai, if you don't have a US bulk proxy shipper, how are you going to get your shipping costs down?

I can sell you switches, and I can sell you parts. But even from Singapore, anything 'keyboard sized' is going to be minimum $20 SGD to send. That's what, $52 RM now? I did get some broken stuff from abroad to poke around, but for a first or second keyboard I think you ought to buy locally.

That's why I strongly encourage you to look to Taobao for parts.

Even Razers cost a lot in Singapore and nobody will sell you a broken Razer for cheap.

Sometimes you luck in. Make friends on geekhack, and some people who pick up broken keyboards in a bunch might load them all in a box and mail to you. Ebay often has sellers do multiple sales - eg 5 as-is old keyboards at the same time.
